Give the Gift of a Full Christmas with Village of Hope

At Village of Hope, we go beyond just gift-giving. What makes us unique is that we provide a complete Christmas experience for each child based on a personalized wish list. These lists include items from three important categories: Want, Need, and Wear, allowing us to create a well-rounded holiday for every child in the Seacoast community.

For many of these children, the gifts they receive through Village of Hope may be the only new items they get all year. Your generosity helps ensure they experience the magic of the holidays in a way that can have a lasting impact.

What is a Want?

A 'want' is a special gift that the child has been dreaming about—something they truly desire. This item reflects the child's current interests or hobbies and is provided by the family to help guide you in choosing the perfect gift. By fulfilling this wish, you can bring extra joy and excitement to your adopted child during the holidays.

What is a Need?

A 'need' is an essential item that the child truly requires. This could include things like toiletries, clothing, school supplies, or even bedding—our most requested need. It may also range from diapers for infants to specific items like a soccer ball or a backpack for school. These requests, provided by the family, are more specific and will be listed on the child's adoption card

What is a Wear?

A 'wear' is an essential item of clothing that the child needs, which may also fall into the 'need' category. While most kids don’t typically wish for clothes as gifts, if it's listed on their card, it’s something they truly need. This could be a winter jacket, snow boots, or even gloves and hats to help them through the cold New England winters. The child’s size and other details will be provided to you.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

When you adopt a child or family through Village of Hope, you’re giving much more than material items. You’re creating precious memories for children who might not otherwise experience the joy of opening a present on Christmas morning. Now that we are a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your contributions may also be tax-deductible, adding an extra layer of impact to your generosity.

Be Part of Something Special This Holiday Season

By supporting Village of Hope, you’re helping children receive not just gifts, but an entire Christmas experience—one that could be the only source of joy and new items they have all year. We invite you to join us in making the holidays unforgettable for these families.

Key Information for Adopters: Finalizing Your Gift Giving

As you prepare to provide gifts for the children you’ve adopted, here are some important dates and details to keep in mind to ensure a smooth process:

Gift Preparation and Drop-off

  • Provide a Photo: Before drop-off, you must take a photo of all gifts for each child and send it to your assigned admin. This can be a single photo for each child that shows all the gifts. Make sure to include the family number and child number when submitting.

  • Bag and Label Gifts:

    • All gifts should be unwrapped (as parents love to wrap them themselves!).

    • Bag the gifts by family and child, clearly labeling them with the family number and child number to ensure proper delivery.

  • ·Drop-off Locations:

    • If you’ve arranged to deliver gifts directly to the family in a public location, please confirm the details with your admin beforehand.

    • If no arrangement has been made, gifts must be dropped off at one of the designated drop-off locations no later than December 6th.

Key Dates

  • December 9th: All gifts must be bagged, labeled, and dropped off by this date unless you are meeting directly with your family to deliver gifts. Please keep this deadline in mind, especially if you plan to do online shopping, as holiday shipping delays are common.

  • December 13: Families will begin picking up their donated gifts, so the drop-off deadline cannot be extended.
